Mickey Skinner
Michael Gordon Skinner (born ), also known as Mickey, Mick, and Mike, is a former English rugby union player who played at flanker for Harlequins, Blackheath and . His nickname was "Mick the Munch" because of his propensity to inflict bone-shaking tackles on the opposition. He was born in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. He attended Walbottle Grammar School. Zak Skinner
Zak Skinner (born 16 October 1998) is a British Paralympic athlete, who competes in the 100m and long jump in the T13 classification. Career Skinner grew up in Tonbridge and Malling. He was born completely blind before regaining some sight at the age of two. He is coached by Aston Moore. Skinner's first accolades came in 2016, winning gold medals in the IPC England 100m, 200m and long jump in the age-groups categories, and winning gold and bronze in the senior long jump and 400m, respectively. In 2017, Skinner came 4th in the T13 long jump at the World Para Athletics Championships in London. He followed this success with a silver medal in the long jump, and 4th place in the 100m, at the 2018 European Para Championships. In 2021, Skinner took his first gold medal on the international stage, winning the 100m at the World Para Athletics Championships in Bydgoczcz. Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby. It supports children and young people with disabilities or living in disadvantage in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Since 1983, Wooden Spoon has committed more than £29 million to more than 1,300 projects, supporting over 1.4 million disabled and disadvantaged children and young people. History Wooden Spoon was founded in 1983 after five England rugby supporters went to Dublin to watch England in the final game of the Five Nations Championship against the Irish. The game was lost 25–15 and England finished last in the table with just a single point gained from their draw against Wales.
