Mickey's Garden
''Mickey's Garden'' is a 1935 American animated short film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, Walt Disney Productions and released by United Artists. The film was the second ''Mickey Mouse'' cartoon shot in Technicolor (after ''The Band Concert'') and is also the first color appearance of Pluto (Disney), Pluto. The cartoon is also the first color cartoon where Mickey Mouse, Mickey speaks (though he only does so at the end when Pluto starts licking him). The film's plot centers on Mickey Mouse trying to rid his garden of insects, but they keep coming back. When he accidentally gets hit with his own bug spray, he begins seeing a warped reality. It was the 76th Mickey Mouse short film to be released, and the fifth of that year. The last dialogue of the show is Mickey telling Pluto to stop licking him in the last 20 seconds. Wilfred Jackson
Wilfred Jackson (January 24, 1906 – August 7, 1988) was an American animator, arranger, composer and director best known for his work on the ''Mickey Mouse'' and ''Silly Symphonies'' series of cartoons and the ''Night on Bald Mountain''/''Ave Maria'' segment of ''Fantasia'' from Walt Disney Productions. He was also instrumental in developing the system with which Disney added music and sound to ''Steamboat Willie'', the first ''Mickey Mouse'' cartoon. Several of the ''Silly Symphony'' shorts he directed, including ''The Old Mill'' (1937), won Academy Awards during the 1930s. Starting with ''Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'' in 1937, he directed sequences in many of the major Disney animated features up to ''Lady and the Tramp'' in 1955, including all of the animated sequences in ''Song of the South'' (1946). He later moved into television, producing and directing for Disney's ''Disneyland'' series. After continuing health issues, he retired in 1961. Jackson died at age 82 in 19 ...

Mickey's 60th Birthday
''Mickey's 60th Birthday'' is a 1988 American live-action/animated television special broadcast on '' The Magical World of Disney'' on November 13, 1988 on NBC. As the title suggests, it was produced for the 60th anniversary of the Mickey Mouse character. Like '' Who Framed Roger Rabbit'' (which had been recently released at the time), much of the footage featured in the film is live-action with newly made animation (although some of the animation used for some scenes was made from existing footage) provided by Murakami-Wolf-Swenson. It was rebroadcast on Disney Channel Europe on November 18, 2008 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the special, as well as Mickey's 80th birthday.
