Ryan Berman
Ryan Berman (born October 1980) is an American attorney and politician serving as a member of Michigan House of Representatives from district 39. Elected in November 2018, he assumed office on January 1, 2019. Early life and education A native of West Bloomfield, Michigan, Berman graduated from Detroit Country Day School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Michigan State University in 2002 and a Juris Doctor from the Wayne State University Law School in 2004. Career In 2005, Berman became an attorney. He served as a special prosecutor in the Palm Beach County, Florida State Attorney's Office in 2009 and later worked as the general counsel for Inergi LP. On November 6, 2018, Berman won the election and became a Republican member of Michigan House of Representatives for district 39. Frenchtown Township, Michigan
Frenchtown Charter Township is a charter township within Monroe County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 20,428 at the 2010 census. The township is bordered on the south by the city of Monroe. Sterling State Park and the Enrico Fermi Nuclear Generating Station are located within Frenchtown, and the township was the site of the Battle of Frenchtown during the War of 1812. Communities *Brest is a former settlement located along the shores of Lake Erie. It was settled as a port by the French as early as 1810 and named after Brest, France. Monroe County is a county in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 154,809. The largest city and county seat is Monroe. The county was established as the second county (after Wayne County) in the Michigan Territory in 1817 and was named for then-President James Monroe. The election coincided with elections for other offices, including U.S. President, U.S. House of Representatives and Senate. The primary election was held on August 2, 2016. Republicans retained control of the House, despite losing the popular vote, after a net loss of five seats, winning 58 seats compared to 52 seats for the Democrats. Term-limited members Under the Michigan Constitution, members of the state Senate are able to serve only two four-year terms, and members of the House of Representatives are limited to three two-year terms, some of the toughest term-limit laws in the country.
