Michigan's 25th Senate district is one of 38 districts in the Michigan Senate. The 25th district was created by the 1850 Michigan Constitution, as the 1835 constitution only permitted a maximum of eight senate districts. It has been represented by Republican Party (United States), Republican Dan Lauwers since 2019, succeeding fellow Republican Phil Pavlov. Marysville, Michigan
Marysville is a city in St. Clair County of the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 9,959 at the 2010 census. The municipality was founded in 1919, first as a village, then became a city in 1924. Marysville is located on the western shore of the St. Clair River, across from Corunna, Ontario. Lake Huron
Lake Huron ( ) is one of the five Great Lakes of North America. It is shared on the north and east by the Canadian province of Ontario and on the south and west by the U.S. state of Michigan. The Michigan House of Representatives is the lower house of the Michigan Legislature. There are 110 members, each of whom is elected from constituencies having approximately 77,000 to 91,000 residents, based on population figures from the 2020 U.S. census. Its composition, powers and duties are established in Article IV of the Michigan Constitution. Michigan's 10th congressional district is a United States congressional district in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. It consists of southern Macomb County, Rochester and Rochester Hills in Oakland County. District boundaries were redrawn in 1992, 2002, 2012, and 2022 due to reapportionment following the censuses of 1990, 2000, 2010, and 2020. The current district is considered quite competitive. Southern Macomb County tends to support Democratic candidates, while central Macomb County and Rochester/Rochester Hills tend to be more moderate to slightly Republican.
