Michel Prost
Michel Prost (born 23 February 1946) is a French former professional footballer who played as a forward. He is known for being one of the first "stars" in the history of Paris Saint-Germain. As of November 2022, Prost is a delegate for the town of Poissy in the Yvelines department of France. Club career Early career Prost was born in the town of Charenton-le-Pont, Île-de-France. In his teenage years, he played three different sports: football, rugby, and tennis. He was a youth footballer for Paris UC until 1966, when he joined Stade Saint-Germain. He went on to play for , a military team, from 1967 to 1969. Then, he returned to Stade Saint-Germain. Paris Saint-Germain In 1970, Stade Saint-Germain merged with Paris FC (PFC) to create Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). Therefore, Prost joined the newly-formed club. French Division 3 (1971–1993)
The French Division 3 was the third tier in the French football pyramid, after the Division 1 and Division 2, from 1971 to 1993. Although it was succeeded by the Championnat National 2, the Championnat National became the new third division. The 1970–71 French Division 2 season was the 30th season since its establishment. It was constituted by three geographic groups (North, Center and South) with 16 clubs each. The winners of each group won promotion to the 1971–72 French Division 1. Additionally, the winners met once in the championship play–offs. The club with most points was crowned champion and awarded the trophy. On the other hand, the bottom club of each group and the worst 15th placed club were relegated to the .
