Michel Negroponte
Michel Negroponte is an American producer and director. Biography Negroponte was born to Catherine Coumantaros and Dimitrios Negrepontis, a Greek shipping magnate and alpine skier, and grew up in New York City's Upper East Side. He has three brothers - John (a former United States Deputy Secretary of State), George (President of the Drawing Center from 2002 to 2007) and Nicholas (founder of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Media Lab and of the One Laptop per Child project.) Dimitrios Negrepontis
Dimitrios Negrepontis (25 March 1915 – June 1996), also Dimitrios Ioannis Negrepontis or Dimitri John Negroponte, was the first-ever Greek to participate in the winter Olympics as an alpine skier, coming from Greek diaspora. He competed in the men's combined event at the 1936 Winter Olympics. John Negroponte
John Dimitri Negroponte (; born July 21, 1939) is an American diplomat. He is currently a James R. Schlesinger Distinguished Professor at the Miller Center for Public Affairs at the University of Virginia. He is a former J.B. and Maurice C. Shapiro Professor of International Affairs at the George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs. Prior to this appointment, he served as a research fellow and lecturer in international affairs at Yale University's Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, United States Deputy Secretary of State (2007–2009), and the first ever Director of National Intelligence (2005–2007). The Drawing Center is a Manhattan, New York, museum and a nonprofit exhibition space that focuses on the exhibition of drawings, both historical and contemporary. History The Drawing Center was founded by former assistant curator of drawings at the Museum of Modern Art Martha Beck in 1977, with the mandate of seeking to "express the quality and diversity of drawing -- unique works on paper -- as a major art form". Nicholas Negroponte (born December 1, 1943) is a Greek American architect. He is the founder and chairman Emeritus of Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Media Lab, and also founded the One Laptop per Child Association (OLPC). Edward Ralph Pincus (July 6, 1938 – November 5, 2013) studied philosophy and photography at Harvard, and began filmmaking in 1964, developing a direct cinema approach to social and political problems. He has producer-director-director of photography credits on eight of his films and has been cinematographer on more than a dozen additional films. Pincus also authored ''Guide to Filmmaking'' (1968) and co-authored ''The Filmmaker's Handbook'' (1984 & 1999). He was born in Brooklyn, New York.
