Michael Herman Michaud (born January 18, 1955) is an American businessman and politician from Maine. Michaud served as the U.S. representative for from 2003 to 2015. He is a member of the Democratic Party. The primarily rural district comprises nearly 80% of the state by area and includes the cities of Lewiston, Auburn, Bangor, Presque Isle, and Ellsworth. It is the largest Congressional district by area east of the Mississippi River. Michaud was previously President of the Maine Senate. He was employed for over two decades at the Great Northern Paper Company and remains a member of the United Steelworkers. He was one of the few members of Congress during his tenure who did not attend college. He did, however, attend the John F. Kennedy School of Government Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government at Harvard University. John Stephen Michaud
John Stephen Michaud (November 24, 1843 РDecember 22, 1908) was an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as bishop of the Diocese of Burlington in Vermont from 1899 until his death in 1908. Biography Early life John Michaud was born on November 24, 1843, in Burlington, Vermont, to Stephen and Catherine (n̩e Rogan) Michaud. He attended a school run by Reverend Jeremiah O'Callaghan, the first resident priest of Vermont, and served as an altar boy to Bishop Louis De Goesbriand. Michaud worked for several lumber companies in Burlington. Michaud later studied at the Bryant and Stratton Commercial College campus in Vermont. Élaine Michaud (born October 17, 1985) is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the House of Commons of Canada in the 2011 election. She represented the electoral district of Portneuf—Jacques-Cartier as a member of the New Democratic Party. At the time of her election, she was a communications officer at the Régie de l'assurance maladie du Québec and a masters student at the École nationale d'administration publique. Michaud won with 42.7% of the vote, defeating incumbent independent MP André Arthur by a margin of 7,793 votes. Bruno Michaud
Bruno Michaud (14 October 1935 — 1 November 1997) was a Swiss footballer and manager who played as a defender mainly for FC Basel and the Swiss national football team. Club career Michaud started his football in the youth teams of Basel. He was brought up to the first team as Béla Sárosi was coach. He transferred for one and a half years to FC Lausanne-Sport, but returned for the second half of the 1959–60 season after Jenő Vincze became Basel's new coach. He played for Basel for thirteen seasons and won the Swiss Cup twice and the championship three times under coaches Georges Sobotka and Helmut Benthaus.
