Michael Meredith Young (born March 8, 1952) is an American actor and television host. An Emmy Award winner (recognized for ABC's ''Kids Are People Too!'', ESPN, ''Young Talent Time'' and CBS' Miss Teen USA) he was also part of the launch teams at CNBC, and The Disney Channel. Young began his career at QUBE, the world's first interactive TV network, created by Warner Communications, where his show won cable TV's first ACE award for entertainment series. Young would later host the Florida Lottery game show ''Flamingo Fortune'' alongside Lisa Stahl. Biography Early life and education Young was born in Montgomery, Alabama. Michael Hughes-Young, 1st Baron St Helens
Michael Henry Colin Hughes-Young, 1st Baron St Helens, MC (28 October 1912 – 27 December 1980) was a British army officer and politician. He served as a Government whip for nine years; after being defeated, he was given an hereditary peerage by the Crown. Family Hughes-Young was the son of Brigadier-General Henry Young, a Northern Ireland-born Cavalry Officer who later served as Sergeant-at-Arms for the Parliament of Northern Ireland. He was sent to Selwyn House Preparatory School in Broadstairs, and then to Harrow School; he followed his father into the Army, studying at Sandhurst. In 1932 he joined the Black Watch. Michael Young-Suk Oh (born 19 April 1971) is a Korean American evangelical and the Global Executive Director/CEO of the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization. Education Oh received a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.Div. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and an M.A. from Harvard University. Ministry Oh and his wife, Pearl, were teachers in the Philadelphia area before moving to Deerfield, IL for seminary training at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. It was there while under the training of Paul Hiebert, that they received a call to global mission with a particular vision for reaching Japan with the gospel. Michael Young (16 December 1958 – 16 September 2018) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Carlton Football Club and Melbourne Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Michael Young (bobsleigh)
Michael Young (born August 15, 1944) is a Canadian former bobsledder who competed in the 1960s. He won two medals at the 1965 FIBT World Championships in St. Moritz with a gold in the four-man event and a bronze in the two-man event. In 1966, he was severely injured during a four-man competition at the bobsleigh track in Lake Placid, New York when his sled hit the superstructure of the track at Turns 13 and 14, known as the "Zig-Zag Curves", damaging his face. Young was rushed to the hospital in Lake Placid, then flown to a hospital in Montreal to undergo extensive plastic surgery. This crash killed his compatriot Sergio Zardini and also featured future FIBT president Robert H. Storey. Young got involved with bobsleigh, after being introduced to the sport by his cousin Vic Emery while studying at the University of Western Ontario. Michael Young (born 31 December 1988) is a Scrum half for Rugby Union team Newcastle Falcons in the Aviva Premiership. He is a product of West Hartlepool Rugby Club junior academy. Club career He played for the Newcastle Falcons Middlesex Sevens side, helping them to the title in 2007. In 2008 he made his senior debut for the club, making 79 appearances in his three full seasons.
