Michael Williams (offensive Lineman)
Michael Williams (born September 8, 1990) is a former American football tight end who is currently the head football coach at Reform (Ala.) Pickens County High School. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the seventh round (211th overall) in the 2013 NFL Draft. He played college football at Alabama. Early years Williams attended Pickens County High School in Alabama. He earned All-County, All-Area and honorable mention All-State honors while playing basketball in high school. While at high school, he also earned the 2007 Alabama Sports Writers Association All-State honors as a Tight end on the first-team and also was selected as the ASWA Class 2A lineman of the year. He was a member of The Mobile Press-Register Elite 18 while at High School. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers adept enough to warrant a defense's attention when running pass patterns. Because of the hybrid nature of the position, the tight end's role in any given offense depends on the tactical preferences and philosophy of the head coach as well as overall team dynamic. 2013 NFL Draft
The 2013 NFL Draft was the 78th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible football players. The draft, which is officially called the "NFL Player Selection Meeting", was held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on April 25 through April 27. Eric Fisher was chosen first overall by the Kansas City Chiefs, becoming the fourth offensive lineman ever to be selected with the top pick (all of them being tackles), since the first Common draft in 1967. Eric Ebron (born April 10, 1993) is an American football tight end who is a free agent. He played college football at North Carolina, and was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He has also previously played for the Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers. Early years Ebron first attended North Providence High School in Rhode Island. He played football for the North Providence Jets. He later moved to North Carolina, where he attended Ben L. Smith High School in Greensboro.
