Michael Weishan
Michael Weishan (born 7 August in Milwaukee, Wisconsin) is an American television personality. He was host of the public television series ''The Victory Garden'' from 2001 through 2007. He was the fourth host of the series, and retired after five seasons to resume active direction of his landscape design firm, Michael Weishan and Associates, which specializes in creating traditionally inspired landscapes for homes across the US and Canada. In addition to his work on PBS, Weishan has appeared on numerous national TV programs in the United States, including the ''Today (U.S. TV program), Today Show'' on NBC, as well as the ''The Early Show, CBS Early Show''. On radio, he hosted his own weekly NPR program, ''The Cultivated Gardener'' from 1999 to 2001. The FDR Suite (often abbreviated fdrsuite) is a set of rooms at Adams House, Harvard College that were occupied by the 32nd president of the United States, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, from 1900-1904. Background In January 1900, 18-year-old Roosevelt and his Groton friend Lathrop Brown engaged rooms in Westmorly Court, (now B-Entry of Adams House). Built in 1898 and designed by the noted architects Warren and Wetmore (who also were responsible for Grand Central Station in New York) Westmorly was the newest and most luxurious building on what was called Harvard's Gold Coast, an area of luxury apartments for wealthy University students.
