Michael Rodrick
Michael J. Rodrick (born February 22, 1970) is an American actor. Rodrick was born and raised in Jersey City, New Jersey. During his junior year of high school, he auditioned for New Jersey's Governor's School of the Arts on a lark to get himself out of the house. He was one of twelve students selected across the state. He went on to receive a full scholarship to the Catholic University of America, graduating with a BA in political science. During school, he supported himself as a theater carpenter – often building the sets on which he would later perform. Early in his college career, he portrayed Jim O'Connor in Tennessee Williams' ''The Glass Menagerie'' and The Beast in ''Beauty and the Beast''. Rodrick can be seen starring as Briggs on ''Castle Rock'' and as Ray Fisher on '' Greenleaf.'' ''Major Crimes'' is an American police procedural television series starring Mary McDonnell. It was a continuation spin-off of ''The Closer'', set in the same police division, now headed by McDonnell's character, Sharon Raydor. It premiered on TNT on August 13, 2012, following the finale of ''The Closer''. In January 2017, during ''Major Crimes'' fifth season, TNT renewed the series for a 13-episode sixth season. On October 3, the network announced the sixth season would be its last. Series star McDonnell commented on Instagram, "as many of you have stated, this was not a surprise. The writing was clearly on the wall. Trying to make sense of TNT's choices is an activity that James Duff and Mike Robin and all of us have been engaged in for a long time."
