Michael Maduell is president of the Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute (SWFI). Biography Early life Michael Maduell was born in San Leandro, CA. His father, Robert (Bob) Maduell, was a procurement engineer at Hewlett Packard and his mother, Phuong (Linda) My Lam, is a Vietnamese war refugee who supported the U.S. as a language translator. Maduell went to high school at Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins, CO. Maduell is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento and has a Masters of Science in Finance from Saint Mary's College of California. He is the grandson of Charles Edward Maduell, who founded Anamet Laboratories, Inc in Berkeley, California.
