Michael Hegarty
Michael Hegarty is an Irish former Gaelic footballer who played for Cill Chartha and the Donegal county team. He made 50 championship appearances, a team record when set in 2011 and not exceeded until Colm McFadden made his 51st championship appearance against Derry in the Ulster quarter-final on 25 May 2014. He broke the record at 46 in the Ulster SFC quarter-final against Cavan where, though named to start, he appeared as an early substitute for Martin McElhinney. He started Mickey Moran's first game in charge of Donegal, a league win at home to Offaly in October 2000. He started the first game of Brian McEniff's last spell as Donegal manager, a league defeat to Galway in Tuam in February 2003. CLG Chill Chartha
CLG Chill Chartha is a GAA club based in Kilcar, County Donegal, in Ulster, Ireland. They have won the Donegal Senior Football Championship on six occasions, the last in 2017. They regard themselves as being "down the trough". The club has an intense rivalry with Na Cealla Beaga. The club also maintains a strong rivalry with their neighbours, Naomh Columba. The Armagh county football team ( ) represents Armagh GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association, in the Gaelic sport of football. The team competes in the three major annual inter-county competitions; the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the Ulster Senior Football Championship and the National Football League. 2016 Donegal Senior Football Championship
The 2016 Donegal Senior Football Championship is the 94th official edition of the Donegal GAA's premier club Gaelic football tournament for senior graded teams in County Donegal. The tournament consists of 16 teams with the winner going on to represent Donegal in the Ulster Senior Club Football Championship. Naomh Conaill were the defending champions after they defeated St Eunan's 0-11 to 0-10 in the previous years final however they relinquished their crown when losing to Kilcar at the Semi-Final stage. This was Bundoran Réalt na Mara's return to the senior grade after making the straight bounce back up from the I.F.C. since being relegated in 2014. On 16 October 2016, Glenswilly claimed their 3rd S.F.C. title when defeating Kilcar in the final in MacCumhaill Park 1-10 to 0-12. Glenswilly GAA (Irish: ''CLG Gleann tSúilí'') is a GAA club based in Glenswilly, County Donegal, Ireland. Most noted for winning the Donegal Senior Football Championship in 2011, 2013 and 2016, the team has fielded players like All-Ireland winning captain Michael Murphy. The club's chairman is Michael Murphy. History The present club was founded in 1982. The 2017 Donegal Senior Football Championship was the 95th official edition of Donegal GAA's premier Gaelic football tournament for senior graded clubs in County Donegal. Sixteen teams compete with the winner representing Donegal in the Ulster Senior Club Football Championship. The championship began with four groups of four and continued with a knock-out format. Glenswilly were the defending champions after they defeated Kilcar 1-10 to 0-12 in the 2016 final. C. J. 2011 Dr McKenna Cup
The 2011 Dr McKenna Cup was a Gaelic football competition played under the auspices of Ulster GAA. The tournament was won by Derry, their first McKenna title in 12 years. They defeated Tyrone in the final. The final was postponed due to the death of Tyrone manager Mickey Harte's brother Paddy Harte. The competition was also affected by the murder of Michaela McAreavey, Harte's daughter, on her honeymoon in Mauritius. Jim McGuinness
Jim McGuinness (born 16 November 1972) is an association football coach and former Gaelic footballer, coach and manager, who won the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship as both player and manager with the Donegal county team. Having guided Donegal to the final of the 2010 All-Ireland Under 21 Football Championship, McGuinness was appointed senior manager later that year. In his time at the helm, he oversaw a Donegal team that won three Ulster Senior Football Championship titles in four seasons and led them to the 2012 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship.
