Michael Doyle (c. 1861 – 7 September 1942) was an Irish politician and farmer. He was a resident of the townland of Cottage, Tagoat, County Wexford. He was first elected to Dáil Éireann at the 1922 general election as a Farmers' Party Teachta Dála A Teachta Dála ( , ; plural ), abbreviated as TD (plural ''TDanna'' in Irish, TDs in English), is a member of Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Oireachtas (the Irish Parliament). Michael Doyle (born 18 June 1987 in Glasgow) is a British racing driver who competed in the British Touring Car Championship in 2008. Doyle's team was family-owned, and part of a garage services business which he worked for during the week. He was not among the front-runners in his aged Honda Civic, and was not among the top 10 non-works drivers to finish until race 7 at Donington Park. He ran 10th for part of race 6 at Rockingham, before spinning out. His first points came in race 13 at Croft, which was stopped early due to rain. His best result came at Silverstone during a wet race 3, in conditions that he thrives in. He finished 8th overall, passing among others both Tom Chilton and Gordon Shedden in the new style Honda Civic run by Team Dynamics. Doyle's season was constantly hampered with gearbox problems causing various race retirements when top 10 results were looking certain. Michael Doyle (born September 16, 1972) is an American actor. He is mainly known for his role on '' Law & Order: Special Victims Unit'' as Ryan O'Halloran and since 2018 on New Amsterdam as Martin McIntyre. Early life and career Doyle attended the Juilliard School as a member of the Drama Division's ''Group 27'' (1994-1998). On the set of ''Oz'' Doyle met George Morfogen, whom he would cast in ''Shiner'', a short film written, produced and directed by Doyle that debuted at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival. Doyle also wrote and produced the 2003 limited-release film ''Cutter''. Michael Doyle (born in Ferrybank, Waterford) is an Irish hairdresser and creative director of Peter Mark at Stephen's Green. Early life The son of Peter and Margaret ("Peggie") Doyle (née Mooney), Doyle grew up in the Ferrybank suburb of Waterford, Ireland with four sisters and a brother. At the age of 11, he attended the local De La Salle College until receiving his leaving certificate at the age of 16. His mother died during his final year of secondary school, after which he decided to move to Germany for a year instead of attending art college. He returned home to pursue a career in hairdressing and worked for hair specialist, Ollie Bible, at George's Street in Waterford for three years before working in the UK for a time. Career Doyle began work at Peter Marks in 1979 and continued to work there for the next 22 years. Michael Doyle (25 November 1946 – 27 June 2011) was an English footballer, who spent most of his career with Manchester City and also played for Stoke City, Bolton Wanderers and Rochdale. Career Ashton-born Doyle played for Stockport Boys as a junior, joining Manchester City in May 1962. At youth level, Doyle played at right back, but after breaking into the first team he was used in a number of roles. He made his senior debut against Cardiff City in March 1965, playing wing-half, which was followed by a number of appearances as a forward. However, most of his appearances later in his career were in central defence. Doyle won 5 caps for the England national football team and 8 England Under-23 caps. Mick Doyle (13 October 1941 – 11 May 2004) was an Irish rugby union international player and coach. Youth and playing career Doyle was born in Castleisland, County Kerry, and began playing rugby union at Newbridge College, County Kildare. He went on to study veterinary science at University College Dublin, who he also represented at rugby. He made his Ireland debut against France on 23 January 1965, scoring a try in the game. While representing Ireland he also studied at Cambridge University where he gained a Blue in the 1965 Varsity match against the Oxford University RFC. Doyle also studied at the University of Edinburgh and played club rugby for Edinburgh Wanderers before returning to Ireland. Michael Doyle (1889–1970) was an Irish hurler who played as a full-forward for the Kilkenny senior team. Born in Mooncoin, County Kilkenny, Doyle first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of eighteen when he made his senior debut in the 1907 championship. Doyle went on to play a key part for Kilkenny during the team's first golden age, and won five All-Ireland medals and six Leinster medals. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on one occasion. Michael Doyle (born 1958) is an Irish former hurler who played as a centre-forward at senior level for the Tipperary county team Born in Holycross, County Tipperary, Doyle first played competitive hurling whilst at school in Thurles CBS. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor team, before later joining the under-21 team. He joined the senior panel during the 1976 championship. The Molly Maguires were an Irish 19th-century secret society active in Ireland, Liverpool and parts of the Eastern United States, best known for their activism among Irish-American and Irish immigrant coal miners in Pennsylvania. Michael Paul Doyle (born 8 August 1981) is a former professional footballer and was most recently assistant head coach at League One club Forest Green Rovers. Born in Dublin, Doyle started his career at Celtic before a spell on loan in Denmark playing for AGF Aarhus. He subsequently spent the majority of his career at Coventry City and Sheffield United.
