Michael Cohen is an American pharmacist, and president of the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP). He was a 2005 MacArthur Fellow. Life He graduated from Temple University with a BS (1968) and MS (1984) in pharmacy. He has also been awarded honorary Doctor of Science degrees from Thomas Jefferson University, the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and Long Island University, and an honorary Doctor of Public Service degree from the University of Maryland. Meyer Harris "Mickey" Cohen (September 4, 1913 – July 29, 1976) was an American gangster, boxer and entrepreneur based in Los Angeles during the mid-20th century. Early life Mickey Cohen was born on September 4, 1913, in New York City to Jewish parents. Cohen's parents immigrated to the USA from Kyiv. He was first raised in New York City, moving with his mother and siblings to the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles at an early age. At 8, he earned money as a newsboy, selling newspapers on the street. One of his brothers, either Louie or Harry, would drop Mickey off at his regular corner, Soto and Brooklyn Streets (now Cesar E. Mickey Cohen is an American former professional soccer goalkeeper who played in the North American Soccer League and American Soccer League. Cohen attended Long Island University where he played on the men's soccer team. In June 1968, he was drafted by the St. Louis Stars of the North American Soccer League; however, he was not signed by the club. In 1971, he signed with the Connecticut Wildcats of the American Soccer League and remained with them through the 1978 season. In 1976, he played one season for the Boston Minutemen of the NASL. Michael L. "Mike" Cohen (born July 19, 1949) was a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly, representing the 28th Assembly District in Queens County, New York. A former New York City Transit worker, Cohen was involved in with the transit unions and was elected to the local community board. In 1999 he began his first term in the State Assembly. He resigned from the Assembly effective March 14, 2005. The seat was filled in a special election won by Andrew Hevesi, the son of former New York State Comptroller Alan Hevesi. In April 2009, then New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo charged New York Liberal Party leader Raymond Harding with accepting more than $800,000 in exchange for political favors for Alan Hevesi. Harding was also accused of helping arrange a $150,000-a-year position for Cohen with thHealth Insurance Plan of New York (HIP) in order to clear the Assembly seat for a run by Hevesi's son. M. Michael Cohen Jr. (March 28, 1937 – February 11, 2018) was an American pathologist and geneticist who was Professor Emeritus of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, Dalhousie University (Emeritus). He was the first doctor to diagnose Proteus syndrome, in 1979. Life and career Cohen was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and studied at the University of Michigan, Tufts University, the University of Minnesota, and Boston University. His post-graduate training included a fellowship in pathology and medical genetics with Robert Gorlin (1923–2006), an oral pathologist and geneticist who described a large number of syndromes, including one they delineated together known as Gorlin–Cohen syndrome. Michael Dean Cohen (born August 25, 1966) is an American former lawyer who served as an attorney for U.S. president Donald Trump from 2006 to 2018. Cohen was a vice-president of the Trump Organization, and the personal counsel to Trump, and was often described by media as Trump's " fixer". He served as co-president of Trump Entertainment and was a board member of the Eric Trump Foundation, a children's health charity.
