Michael Bankston
Michael Kane Bankston (March 12, 1970) is a former defensive tackle and defensive end who played nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Bankston played for the Arizona Cardinals, Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals and Cincinnati Bengals. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 1992 NFL Draft by the Cardinals. He played college football at Sam Houston State University. Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man line defense, seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an "end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside. Sam Houston State University (SHSU or Sam) is a public university in Huntsville, Texas. It was founded in 1879 and is the third-oldest public college or university in Texas.
