This is an overview of the regular and recurring characters of long-running series '' JAG''. ''Note'': All ranks are those shown or stated by the end of the series. Regular cast Captain Harmon "Harm" Rabb Jr., USN (JAGC) Played by David James Elliott. A naval aviator who became a JAG lawyer after being diagnosed with night blindness. His father was shot down over Vietnam and was listed as MIA, with Harm's attempts to find him forming the plots of several episodes. He became strong friends with Major (eventually Lieutenant Colonel) Sarah "Mac" MacKenzie, USMC, and their relationship grew through the years. Towards the end of the series the pair acknowledged that they were in love with each other. By the series finale, Harm and Mac became engaged to be married and tossed a coin to decide who would accept a new assignment (Harm in London, Mac in San Diego) and who would resign their commission to follow the coin-toss winner. Scott Lawrence
Scott Lawrence (born September 27, 1963) is an American actor best known for his role as Cmdr. Sturgis Turner on the CBS series '' JAG''. Lawrence played the role from 2001 until 2005, when the series ended. He is also known for being the major audio double for James Earl Jones, voicing Darth Vader in Star Wars video games since 1995. Career Lawrence began his career in Hollywood in the late 1980s with supporting TV and film appearances. He debuted as a perpetrator defended by James Earl Jones in LA Law. He had a recurring role on '' Murphy Brown'' and in the early 1990s was a semi-regular on the Whoopi Goldberg series ''Bagdad Cafe''. The surface warfare insignia is a military badge of the United States Navy which is issued to U.S. Navy personnel who are trained and qualified to perform duties aboard United States surface warships. There are presently four classes of the surface warfare pin, being that of line, staff, special operations, and enlisted. Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal
The Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal (GWOT-EM) is a United States Armed Forces award created by George W. Bush on 12 March 2003, through Executive Order 13289. The medal recognizes those military service members who have deployed overseas in direct service to the War on Terror from 11 September 2001 to a date to be determined. Prior to 30 April 2005, the medal was awarded for service within Iraq and Afghanistan, but has been replaced with the Iraq Campaign Medal and Afghanistan Campaign Medal and now serves primarily as recognition for personnel who have deployed in support of the War on Terror to locations beyond Iraq and Afghanistan. In a similar fashion the Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal is now issued instead for service in the fight against ISIS, with eligibility retroactive to 15 June 2014. The National Defense Service Medal (NDSM) is a service award of the United States Armed Forces established by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1953. It is awarded to every member of the US Armed Forces who has served during any one of four specified periods of armed conflict or national emergency from June 27, 1950 through the present. Combat or "in theater" service is not a requirement for the award. The Good Conduct Medal is one of the oldest military awards of the United States Armed Forces.
