The Miami–Virginia Tech football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Miami Hurricanes of the University of Miami and Virginia Tech Hokies of Virginia Tech. As of 2022, Miami leads the series 24–15. The last game between the two teams was October 15, 2022 in Blacksburg, and Miami won 20–14. The Bowl Championship Series (BCS) was a selection system that created four or five bowl game match-ups involving eight or ten of the top ranked teams in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of American college football, including an opportunity for the top two teams to compete in the BCS National Championship Game. Miami Orange Bowl
The Miami Orange Bowl was an outdoor athletic stadium in Miami, Florida from 1937 until 2008. The stadium was located in the Little Havana neighborhood west of Downtown Miami.
