Miami World Center
Miami Worldcenter is a large mixed-use development, mixed-use development under construction led by principals Arthur Falcone and Nitin Motwani, spanning several blocks in the Park West (Miami), Park West neighborhood of Miami, Florida, just north of downtown. It may include over 25 acres of land, with a convention center, hotel space, residential, as well as copious street level retail and large anchor tenant space, such as Macy's and Bloomingdale's. The hotel and convention center are planned to be part of the same 55 storey building. The hotel will be very large with 1,800 rooms over the approximately convention center. One proposed residential building known as the Miami Worldcenter Signature Tower may rise to the maximum above sea level permitted in that area. Park West (Miami)
Park West is a neighborhood of Greater Downtown, Miami, Florida. It is roughly bound by Biscayne Boulevard to the east, West (NW) First Avenue to the west, North (NE/NW) 7th Street to the south and Interstate 395 to the north. As of 2010, about 4,655 residents live in Park West. The neighborhood is named 'Park West' due to its location just west of Museum Park. Future development Much of the neighborhood west of the Metromover will be developed into Miami World Center, a major urban center containing a convention center, hotel, residential condo towers, and 765,000 square feet of retail. Brightline
Brightline (reporting mark BLFX) is an inter-city rail route between Miami and West Palm Beach, Florida that runs on track owned by Florida East Coast Railway. Brightline is the only privately owned and operated intercity passenger railroad in the United States. Its development started in March 2012 as All Aboard Florida by Florida East Coast Industries, a Florida real estate developer owned by Fortress Investment Group. Construction began in November 2014 and the route opened in January 2018. Metromover is a free mass transit automated people mover train system operated by Miami-Dade Transit in Miami, Florida, United States. Metromover serves the Downtown Miami, Brickell, Park West and Arts & Entertainment District neighborhoods. Metromover connects directly with Metrorail at Government Center and Brickell stations. It also connects to Metrobus with dedicated bus loops at Government Center and Adrienne Arsht Center station.
