Miami University Voice Of America Learning Center
The Miami University Voice of America Learning Center (Miami VOALC) is a satellite campus of Miami University in West Chester Township, Butler County, Ohio, West Chester, Ohio. It is one of three regional campuses of Miami University. It is located on a portion of the former Voice of America Bethany Relay Station. Classes began in January 2009. Academic Provision Miami VOALC offers the same degree programs and classes as Miami University Middletown, Miami Middletown and Miami University Hamilton, Miami Hamilton. Miami VOALC also hosts Miami's MBA program. Miami University (informally Miami of Ohio or simply Miami) is a public research university in Oxford, Ohio. The university was founded in 1809, making it the second-oldest university in Ohio (behind Ohio University, founded in 1804) and the 10th oldest public university (32nd overall) in the United States. Middletown, Ohio
Middletown is a city located in Butler and Warren counties in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Ohio, about 35 miles (47 km) north of Cincinnati. The population as of the 2020 census was 50,987. It is part of the Cincinnati metropolitan area. Formerly in Lemon, Turtlecreek, and Franklin townships, Middletown was incorporated by the Ohio General Assembly on February 11, 1833, and became a city in 1886. The city was the home of AK Steel Holding Corporation (formerly Armco), a major steel works founded in 1900. Miami University Dolibois European Center (sometimes called the Miami University John E. Dolibois European Center or simply MUDEC) is an overseas campus of Miami University based in Differdange, Luxembourg. Miami University Hamilton (Miami Hamilton) is a satellite campus of Miami University in Hamilton, Ohio. It was founded in 1968 and is one of three regional campuses of Miami University. History In 1946, Miami University began offering classes in Hamilton and Middletown to meet the needs of people living in those communities who could not attend college. The success of these classes led to the creation of five academic centers in Norwood, Dayton, Piqua and the existing Hamilton and Middletown locations. Steady growth of student enrollment combined with local support for higher education led to the opening of Miami Middletown in 1966 and Miami Hamilton in 1968.
