Paola Tiziana Cruciani (born 29 May 1958) is an Italian actress, comedian and playwright. Life and career Born in Rome, Cruciani studied acting at the "Laboratorio Teatrale", a theatre workshop directed by Gigi Proietti, graduating in 1981. Between 1981 and 1984 she was a member of the comedy ensemble "La Zavorra", with whom she took part in several television variety shows. Marisa Merlini (6 August 1923 – 27 July 2008) was an Italian character actress active in Italy's post-World War II cinema. Merlini appeared in over fifty films during her career, which spanned from World War II to 2005. In Luigi Comencini's 1953 film ''Pane, amore e fantasia'', she portrayed Annarella, a village midwife, who marries the local police marshal, played by Vittorio De Sica. Luis Enríquez Bacalov (30 August 1933 – 15 November 2017) was an Argentine-born film composer. He learned music from Enrique Barenboim, father of Daniel Barenboim the conductor of the Berlin, and Chicago orchestras, and also Berta Sujovolsky. Bringing his talent into society he ventured into music for the cinema, and composed scores for Spaghetti Western films. In the early 1970s, he collaborated with Italian progressive rock bands. Bacalov was nominated twice for the Academy Award for Best Original Score, winning it in 1996 for ''Il Postino''. Bacalov composed significant works for chorus and orchestra. Before his death, he was the artistic director of the ''Orchestra della Magna Grecia'' in Taranto, Italy.
