Mhondoro (parliamentary Constituency)
Paddington Mhondoro (27 September 1986 – 13 March 2015) was a Zimbabwean cricketer who played a single limited overs cricket, limited overs match for Mid West Rhinos during the 2013–14 season. Born in Gweru, in Zimbabwe's Midlands Province, Mhondoro attended Chipembere Primary School in Highfield, Harare, Highfield, a suburb of Harare, before moving to Chegutu with his parents. A right-handed all-rounder, he featured in the squad for the Zimbabwe Under-19 cricket team, Zimbabwean national under-19 team in 2006, without playing any matches. Gweru
Gweru is a city in central Zimbabwe. Near the geographical centre of the country. It is on the centre of Midlands Province. Originally an area known to the Northern Ndebele people, Ndebele as "The Steep Place" because of the Gweru River's high Bank (geography), banks, in 1894 it became the site of a military outpost established by Leander Starr Jameson. In 1914 it attained Municipality, municipal status, and in 1971 it became a city. The city has a population of 158,200 as of the 2022 census. Gweru is known for farming activities in beef cattle, crop farming, and commercial gardening of crops for the export market. It is also home to a number of colleges and universities, most prominently Midlands State University and Mkoba Teachers College. The city was nicknamed City of Progress.
