Mexicana De Aviación
Compañía Mexicana de Aviación, S.A. de C.V. (usually shortened to Mexicana de Aviación or simply Mexicana) was Mexico's oldest airline and one of the List of airlines by foundation date, oldest continuously single-branded airlines (after KLM, Avianca and Qantas, QANTAS). It was Mexico's biggest airline and flagship airline before ceasing operations on August 28, 2010. The group's closure was announced by the company's recently installed management team a short time after the group filed for Concurso Mercantil (Mexican law equivalent to U.S. Chapter 11) and Chapter 15, Title 11, United States Code, U.S. Chapter 15. On April 4, 2014, a judge declared Mexicana Bankruptcy, bankrupt and ordered to start selling off the company's assets to repay the airline's obligations. Cancún International Airport
Cancun International Airport ( es, Aeropuerto Internacional de Cancún) is located in Cancún, Quintana Roo, on the Caribbean coast of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula. It is Latin America's third and Mexico's second busiest airport, after Mexico City International Airport. In 2021, Cancún airport handled 22,318,467 passengers, an 82.1% increase compared to 2020. The airport has two parallel operative runways that can be used simultaneously. Officially opened in 1974, the airport is operated by Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR). Central America ( es, América Central or ) is a subregion of the Americas.
