Metuchen Station
Metuchen is a New Jersey Transit station located southwest of New York Penn Station on the Northeast Corridor Line, in Metuchen, New Jersey. It is on Main Street between Pennsylvania and Woodbridge Avenues; the platforms are on an overpass over Main Street. The New York City-bound platform and station office are accessible from Woodbridge Avenue, while the Trenton-bound platform is accessible from Pennsylvania Avenue. There is a station office but no station agents and passengers must use a ticket machine. There is a newsstand in the waiting room of the northbound platform that operates on weekday mornings during rush hour. A private concierge service operated between 2001–2003, but is now closed. County Route 531 (New Jersey)
County Route 531 (CR 531) is a county highway in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The highway extends from Woodbridge Avenue ( CR 514) in Edison, Middlesex County, through Somerset County to Passaic Valley Road ( CR 512) in Long Hill Township, Morris County. Route description CR 531 begins at CR 514 in Edison. It heads north, soon passing under New Jersey Turnpike/ Interstate 95 (I-95) without an interchange. It has a partial cloverleaf interchange with U.S. Route 1 (US 1) before crossing over I-287. One ramp from southbound I-287's exit 1B provides access to CR 531 south. CR 531 continues north through a residential neighborhood. Known as Main Street, it proceeds northward into the borough of Metuchen. The ''Central New Jersey Home News Tribune'' is a Daily newspaper serving Middlesex County, New Jersey. The paper has an average daily weekday circulation of about 49,000. The newspaper is the result of the 1995 merger of ''The Home News'' of East Brunswick (founded 1879) and ''The News Tribune'' of Woodbridge Township. The News Tribune was previously known as "The Perth Amboy Evening News." The combined paper, initially renamed the ''Home News & Tribune'' before the ampersand was removed, was sold to Gannett in 1997. In 2009, some production operations were moved and consolidated with those of Central Jersey Gannett newspapers. Those operations are now located in Neptune. The newsroom and advertising departments remained in East Brunswick at the time but have seen relocated to Somerville, where its sister paper, the ''Courier News'' of Somerville is headquartered. Metropark station is an intermodal transportation hub on the Northeast Corridor in the Iselin section of Woodbridge Township in Middlesex County, New Jersey that is located 24.6 miles southwest of New York Penn Station. It is owned and operated by NJ Transit and serves Amtrak and NJ Transit's Northeast Corridor Line. NJ Transit runs peak period 'loop' buses in coordination with train schedules. Edison Station
Edison is a commuter railroad station in the Stelton section of Edison Township, Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. Located at the intersection of Plainfield Avenue ( County Route 529) and Central Avenue, the station is served by New Jersey Transit's Northeast Corridor Line. Amtrak trains cross through but bypass the station. Edison station contains two side platforms, both high-level for handicap accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA). Trenton Transit Center is the main passenger train station in Trenton, New Jersey. It is the southernmost stop in New Jersey on the Northeast Corridor. It is the terminus for NJ Transit trains to and from New York City and SEPTA Trenton Line Regional Rail trains to and from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and an intermediate station for Amtrak trains traveling between the two cities along the Northeast Corridor. The northern terminus of the River Line light rail system, which offers service to Camden along the Delaware River, is across Clinton Avenue from the main station building. Jersey Avenue Station
Jersey Avenue is a New Jersey Transit station on the Northeast Corridor Line in New Brunswick, New Jersey. It is near Jersey Avenue, in an industrial area next to a New Jersey Transit rail yard. Unlike all other stations on the Northeast Corridor Line, Jersey Avenue has low-level platforms (the rest are elevated), and, since there is no wheelchair ramp, it is the only station on the line that is not handicapped-accessible. Jersey Avenue opened in October 1963 as part of an experimental park and ride program. Jersey Avenue has a different layout than most New Jersey Transit stations.
