Metro Cagayan De Oro
Metropolitan Cagayan de Oro ( ceb, Kaulohang Cagayan de Oro; fil, Kalakhang Cagayan de Oro), also known as Metro Cagayan de Oro, is the fourth largest metropolitan area in the Philippines. It is located on the northern coast of Mindanao, and comprises the two chartered cities of Cagayan de Oro and El Salvador and the fourteen municipalities of Misamis Oriental which are Alubijid, Balingasag, Claveria, Gitagum, Initao, Jasaan, Laguindingan, Libertad, Lugait, Manticao, Naawan, Opol, Tagoloan, and Villanueva and the six municipalities of Bukidnon which are Manolo Fortich, Baungon, Libona, Malitbog, Sumilao and Talakag. Opol
Opol, officially the Municipality of Opol ( ceb, Lungsod sa Opol; tl, Bayan ng Opol), is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Misamis Oriental, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 66,327 people. Opol was created from the barrios of Opol, Igpit, and Lower Iponan, formerly part of Cagayan de Oro, by virtue of Republic Act No. 524, approved June 15, 1950. The municipality is gradually becoming more urbanized, as a result of local population growth and the expansion of nearby Cagayan de Oro City. Historically, Opol was a more rural area focused on agriculture and fishing. The subdivision of rural land for new residential housing is a matter of some controversy amongst locals. Naawan, officially the Municipality of Naawan ( ceb, Lungsod sa Naawan; tl, Bayan ng Naawan), is a fourth class municipality in the province of Misamis Oriental, Philippines. The population of the town is estimated to be 22,444 according to the 2020 census. Lugait, officially the Municipality of Lugait ( ceb, Lungsod sa Lugait; tl, Bayan ng Lugait), is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Misamis Oriental, Philippines. Laguindingan, officially the Municipality of Laguindingan ( ceb, Lungsod sa Laguindingan; tl, Bayan ng Laguindingan), is a 4th class municipality in the province of Misamis Oriental, Philippines. Jasaan, officially the Municipality of Jasaan ( ceb, Lungsod sa Jasaan; tl, Bayan ng Jasaan), is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Misamis Oriental, Philippines. Claveria, Misamis Oriental
Claveria, officially the Municipality of Claveria ( ceb, Lungsod sa Claveria; tl, Bayan ng Claveria), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Misamis Oriental, Philippines.
