The Solicitor General of Sri Lanka is a post subordinate to the Attorney General of Sri Lanka. Mervyn Maynard
Mervyn "Merv" Maynard ( – 9 April 2017) was an Aboriginal Australian jockey who rode numerous winners in a career spanning almost five decades. Early life Mervyn Maynard was born around 1931, the son of Aboriginal activist Fred Maynard and Minnie Critchley, an Englishwoman, whose father was a miner. His early life was difficult, owing to his father being under police surveillance because of his political activism, and the children were the targets of death threats. On one occasion, Mervyn and another Aboriginal boy were picked up by police and taken to the police station, which terrified him. His father died when Merv was still a teenager (in 1946). Merv began working in a pharmacy in the western Sydney suburb of Lakemba, where he washed bottles, then got a job making deliveries for the local post office. Mervyn LeRoy (; October 15, 1900 – September 13, 1987) was an American film director and producer. In his youth he played juvenile roles in vaudeville and silent film comedies. During the 1930s, LeRoy was one of the two great practitioners of economical and effective film directing at Warner Brothers studios, the other his cohort Michael Curtiz. LeRoy's most acclaimed films of his tenure at Warners include '' Little Caesar'' (1931), ''I Am a Fugitive From a Chain Gang'' (1932), ''Gold Diggers of 1933'' (1933) and ''They Won't Forget'' (1937). LeRoy left Warners and moved to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios in 1939 to serve as both director and producer. Mervyn Kitchen
Mervyn John Kitchen (born 1 August 1940), is a former English first-class cricketer and international umpire. In his playing days he was a left-handed batsman for Somerset County Cricket Club, making 15,230 runs in his 354 first-class games between 1960 and 1979. He topped the Somerset averages in 1966 and 1968. After retiring as a player, he went on to become a first-class cricket umpire and he umpired in 20 Test matches and 28 One-Day Internationals before retiring from that at the age of 65 in 2005. Mervyn John King (born 4 January 1966, in King's Lynn) is an international lawn and indoor bowler from Fakenham. Bowls career King has represented England at three Commonwealth Games, the 2002, 2006 and the 2010 Commonwealth Games where he won a silver medal, with Stuart Airey, in the men's pairs competition. He has also won two bronze medals at the 2004 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Ayr in the triples and fours events. Mervyn King (born 15 March 1966) is an English professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) tournaments. Nicknamed The King, he has reached seven PDC major TV finals and reached a peak of No. 4 in the PDC Order of Merit. Early life King first took up the game at the age of 12, playing with an old rolled-cardboard dartboard given to him by his father. His father insisted that he played darts using competition distance and height. By the age of 13, he had ambitions to become a professional player as he was playing county darts at Superleague level. Mervyn Eldred King (born 22 July 1937, Johannesburg) is a South African corporate attorney, arbitrator, mediator, corporate director, commission chair, author and speaker. A former judge of the Supreme Court of South Africa, he is currently chairman of the IIRC, chairman emeritus of the Global Reporting Initiative and director of the Association of Business Administrators of Southern Africa. Mervyn Allister King, Baron King of Lothbury (born 30 March 1948) is a British economist and public servant who served as the Governor of the Bank of England from 2003 to 2013. He is a School Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics. He is also the Chairman of the Philharmonia. Mervyn Johns (born David Mervyn John; 18 February 18996 September 1992) was a Welsh stage, film and television character actor who became a star of British films during the Second World War. Johns was known for his "mostly mild-mannered, lugubrious, amusing, sometimes moving ‘little men’" in over 100 films and television series. Mervyn Jayasuriya was a veteran announcer with Radio Ceylon - the oldest radio station in South Asia. Jayasuriya presented some of the most popular radio programmes over the airwaves of Radio Ceylon, such as "Roving Mike" and "Sports Newsreel". Millions tuned into the programmes, right across South Asia. Mervyn Jayasuriya was also a news reader - he read the English news bulletins of Radio Ceylon.
