Merve Tanıl
Merve Tanıl (born February 22, 1990 in Ankara) is a Turkish volleyball player. She is 180 cm and plays as setter. She played for , İBA Kimya TED Ankara Kolejliler before she was transferred by Yeşilyurtspor for the 2013-14 season. She also played for Vakıfbank Güneş Sigorta, Fenerbahçe Acıbadem and Ereğli Belediye in the past. She studied at Bahçeşehir University in Istanbul. With Fenerbahçe Acıbadem, she won the Turkish Super Cup, Teledünya Turkish Cup, Turkish Women's Volleyball League and became runner-up at 2009–10 CEV Women's Champions League. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. The Turkish Women's Volleyball League ( tr, Türkiye Kadınlar Voleybol 1. Ligi) officially called the Sultans League (Turkish: Sultanlar Ligi), is the highest professional women's volleyball league in Turkey. It is run by the Turkish Volleyball Federation and began with the 1984–85 season. 14 clubs are currently participating in the league. It is often regarded as the best professional women's volleyball league in the world. Its clubs have obtained significant successes in European and other international competitions. Bahçeşehir University (BAU) is a private educational institution in Turkey, located around the Bosporus in Istanbul. The Turkish National Assembly authorized the establishment of the University of Bahçeşehir by the Bahçeşehir Uğur Education Foundation in 1998. An academic and strategic protocol was signed shortly after (February 1998) with San Diego State University in California, USA. The enrollment of the first students was made after the first placement exam (ÖSYS) in the 1999–2000 academic year.
