Merle Pertile
Merle Pertile (November 23, 1941 – February 21, 1997) was an American model and actress. She was ''Playboy'' magazine's Playboy Playmate, Playmate of the Month for its January 1962 issue. Biography Pertile was born on November 23, 1941, in Whittier, California and grew up in Indiana and Illinois. She attended and graduated from Hammond High School, Hammond, Indiana in 1959. Following graduation, she moved to Los Angeles, where she became a contract player with Universal Pictures and had guest spots on several TV shows. During the second season of the ''Playboy's Penthouse'' TV series (1960–61), Pertile became a regular cast member. It was there that she first met Hugh Hefner. According to ''The Playmate Book'', Pertile died on November 28, 1997. She was married to Jed S. Levitt. She has a son, Krishna Joseph Levitt and a daughter, Kenya Johanna Levitt. Whittier () is a city in Southern California in Los Angeles County, California, Los Angeles County, part of the Gateway Cities. The city had 87,306 residents as of the 2020 United States census, an increase of 1,975 from the 2010 United States census, 2010 census figure. It was first broadcast on October 24, 1959 and ran in syndication for two seasons. Development The show was designed as a way to spread ''Playboy'' magazine's influence beyond the printed page and to help non-readers get to know Hefner. Hammond High School (Indiana)
Hammond High School was a public secondary school located in the Northwestern Indiana city of Hammond. Part of the School City of Hammond district, it opened in 1884 and graduated its final class in the spring of 2021. History Hammond High School was established in 1884. The building that would be the final Hammond High campus opened in 1915 as the Hammond Industrial High School. The school caught fire on December 13, 1967. In the aftermath of the fire, students shared the campus of Hammond Tech, attending classes in the afternoon while Hammond Tech students went to class in the morning. Reconstruction after the fire was not completed until 1973. Lake Arrowhead is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place (CDP) in the San Bernardino Mountains of San Bernardino County, California, surrounded by the San Bernardino National Forest, and surrounding the eponymous Lake Arrowhead Reservoir. Lake Arrowhead is located 13 miles north east of the San Bernardino city limits. The population of the CDP was estimated at 12,424 in the 2010 census.
