Mendoza, Texas
Mendoza is an unincorporated community in Caldwell County, in the U.S. state of Texas. According to the Handbook of Texas, the community had a population of 100 in 2000. It is located within the Greater Austin metropolitan area. History A post office was established at Mendoza in 1892 and remained in operation until 1911. Sources differ as to whether the community was named for Antonio de Mendoza or a local settler. The 1936 county highway map showed a church, a cemetery, an industrial site, several other businesses, and numerous homes in the community. Only one business was reported in the community in 1987. In the first quarter of the 20th century, Mendoza had a population of 200 residents. During the Great Depression, its population fell to 100 and remained at that number until the mid-1960s when it dropped to 50 residents. It was that same number in 1990 and grew back to 100 in 2000. KKYX (680 AM) is a classic country music radio station owned by Cox Media Group. It is licensed to, and headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. The station also carries play-by-play of the San Antonio Missions of the Texas League ( Minor League Baseball). Texas State Highway 130
Texas State Highway 130 (SH 130), also known as the Pickle Parkway, is a highway from Interstate 35 (I-35) in San Antonio along I-410 and I-10 to east of Seguin, then north as tollway from there to I-35 north of Georgetown. SH 130 runs in a corridor east and south of Austin. The route parallels I-35 and is intended to relieve the Interstate's traffic volume through the San Antonio–Austin corridor by serving as an alternate route. Lockhart, Texas
Lockhart is a city and the county seat of Caldwell County, Texas, United States. According to the 2020 United States census, 2020 census, its population was 14,379. History The city of Lockhart is named after Byrd Lockhart, an assistant surveyor of Green DeWitt and reportedly the first Anglo to set foot in Caldwell County. Lockhart was the site of a victory of the Texans over the Comanche, at the Battle of Plum Creek in 1840. Lockhart was originally called "Plum Creek", but the name was later changed to Lockhart. Spatial disorientation results in a person being unable to determine their position or relative motion, commonly occurring during periods of challenging visibility, since vision is the dominant sense for orientation. The auditory system, vestibular system (within the inner ear), and proprioceptive system (sensory receptors located in the skin, muscles, tendons and joints) collectively work to coordinate movement with balance, and can also create illusory nonvisual sensations, resulting in spatial disorientation in the absence of strong visual cues. Diphenhydramine
Diphenhydramine (DPH) is an antihistamine and sedative mainly used to treat allergies, insomnia, and symptoms of the common cold. It is also less commonly used for tremor in parkinsonism, and nausea. It is taken by mouth, injected into a vein, injected into a muscle, or applied to the skin. Maximal effect is typically around two hours after a dose, and effects can last for up to seven hours.
