Melodifestivalen 2018
Melodifestivalen 2018 was the 58th edition of the Swedish music competition Melodifestivalen, which selected Sweden's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. The competition was organised by Sveriges Television (SVT) and took place over a six-week period between 3 February and 10 March 2018. The format of the competition consists of 6 shows: 4 heat rounds, a second chance round and a final. An initial 28 entries were selected for the competition through three methods: an open call for song submissions, direct invitations to specific artists and songwriters and a wildcard given to one of the artists that participated in the ''Svensktoppen nästa'' competition organised by Sveriges Radio P4. The 28 competing entries were divided into four heats, with seven compositions in each. David Lindgren
David Lindgren (born 28 April 1982 in Skellefteå, Sweden) is a Swedish singer, musical actor and television presenter. He is signed to the EMI Sweden label. In 2009, he appeared on the Swedish television show ''Så ska det låta'' on SVT in the same team as Kicki Danielsson and Putte Nelsson. In 2010, he appeared on the show for a second time with Jessica Heribertsson. His third appearance on the same popular show was on 20 January 2013, competing together with teammate Jennifer Brown. Örnsköldsvik
Örnsköldsvik (, ) is a locality and the seat of Örnsköldsvik Municipality in Västernorrland County, Sweden, with 32,953 inhabitants in 2017. Its natural harbour and archipelago is in the Gulf of Bothnia and the northern boundaries of the High Coast area. It is well known as an exporter of pulp and paper products and heavy machinery goods. Melodifestivalen 2012
Melodifestivalen 2012 is a Swedish song contest that was held between 4 February and 10 March 2012. It selected the fifty-second Swedish entry to be internationally represented in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 (ESC 2012). As in the editions between 2009–2011, a maximum of eight people were allowed on stage, while only persons of 16 years or over are eligible. However, in accordance with Eurovision rules, only six people were allowed on stage for the Swedish entry at Eurovision. The main singer(s) were required to perform vocals live on stage. However, other backing vocals can be prerecorded, along with the song's backing track. On 20 June 2011, SVT announced an open call for Melodifestivalen 2012, with some changes in the rules. ''Aftonbladet'' (, lit. "The evening paper") is a Swedish daily newspaper published in Stockholm, Sweden. It is one of the largest daily newspapers in the Nordic countries.
