Melodifestivalen 2010
Melodifestivalen 2010 was a Swedish song contest held between February and March 2010. It was the selection for the 50th song to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest, and was the 49th edition of Melodifestivalen. Five heats were held in the Swedish cities of Örnsköldsvik, Sandviken, Gothenburg and Malmö, with Örebro hosting the final ''Andra Chansen'' (Second Chance) round. After the five heats 10 songs had qualified to the final of the contest, contested in the Swedish capital of Stockholm, at the Globe Arena. After the voting of 11 juries and a public televote had been revealed, the final winner was Anna Bergendahl with the pop ballad " This Is My Life", which received top marks from the public televote, and placing 2nd after the votes of the 11 juries. Christine Meltzer
Marie Christine Meltzer Lind (born 4 December 1974 in Viksjö) is a Swedish television hostess, actress and comedian. She rose to fame as an impersonator on the TV4 comedy show Hey Baberiba. She has also hosted the Swedish version of ''Popstars'' and hosted the 2010 Melodifestivalen with Måns Zelmerlöw and Dolph Lundgren. Since 2010, she has taken over as main host of ''Dansbandskampen'', she has been named "Sweden's funniest woman". Career Meltzer's television career began in 1997 when she hosted ''Lattjo Lajban'' with David Hellenius. In 2001 Meltzer hosted the dating show ''När och fjärran'' and the following year she presented the Swedish version of Popstars for Kanal 5. Conventum Arena
Conventum Arena is a exhibition centre located in central Örebro, Sweden. The decision on a new exhibition hall in the city was taken around 2005 with construction beginning in January 2007. The arena was completed in March 2008 and was built between Örebro södra station, Scandic Grand Hotel, and Conventum Kongress. The latter, incidentally, the same owners as the Conventum Arena; namely Kongrexum AB, and Conventum. The idea is that these buildings, along with the Medborgarhuset conference centre, to be included in a central convention complex, with the stadium specialising in fairs, conferences, dinners, concerts, and festivals. Scandinavium () is an indoor arena located in Gothenburg, Sweden. Construction on Scandinavium began in 1969 after decades of setbacks, and was inaugurated on 18 May 1971. Scandinavium has been selected as a championship arena at least fifty times, hosting events such as World Championships in handball and ice hockey, European championships, Davis Cup finals, and in 1985 the Eurovision Song Contest. Göransson Arena
Göransson Arena is an indoor arena in Sandviken, Sweden. It opened in 2009 and holds up to 10,000 people at music events and 4,000 spectators for bandy. History The building of the arena was financed by the Göransson Foundations, established by Göran Fredrik Göransson who founded the Sandvik corporation. It was then sold to Sandviken Municipality for a symbolic sum of 1 SEK. It is the home arena for the bandy team Sandvikens AIK and the Bandy World Cup has been played there since 2009.
