Melipilla Province ( es, Provincia de Melipilla) is one of six provinces in the Santiago Metropolitan Region of central Chile. The provincial capital is the city of Melipilla. Administration As a province, Melipilla is a second-level administrative division of Chile, governed by a provincial delegate who is appointed by the president. The current delegate is Sandra Saavedra, who was appointed by president Gabriel Boric. An urban area, built-up area or urban agglomeration is a human settlement with a high population density and infrastructure of built environment. Gabriel Boric
Gabriel Boric Font (; born 11 February 1986) is a Chilean left-wing politician who is the 37th and current president of Chile, serving since 11 March 2022. Boric studied in the Faculty of Law at the University of Chile, and was the president of the University of Chile Student Federation from 2011 to 2012. As a student representative, he became one of the leading figures of the 2011–2013 Chilean student protests. Time in Chile is divided into three time zones. Most of Continental Chile uses the time offset UTC−04:00 in winter time and UTC−03:00 in summer time, while the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica region uses the time offset UTC-03:00 the whole year.
