Melbourne Weekender
''Melbourne Weekender'' is a travel and lifestyle show hosted by Cameron Ling. The weekly, half-hour program was produced by Seven Productions and visited various locations in Melbourne and Victoria, showing destinations and experiences which can be enjoyed on a weekend. The show was first screened in 2005 on Saturdays at 5.30pm. It was originally hosted by Peter Mitchell and then Jo Silvagni. The show was produced by Dreampool Productions with a range of presenters who feature stories on gardening, pets, renovating, fishing, boating, dining, entertainment and where to take the family around Melbourne. In June 2015 the new show returned to air on the Seven network with host Cameron Ling and his team of reporters. A revival in 2019 was titled ''"The Great Weekend"'' and was presented by Jane Bunn, Brian Taylor, Jack Riewoldt, Brooke Hogan and Pete Lazer. Jo Silvagni
Joanne Louise Silvagni (née Bailey; 10 March 1970) is an Australian model and television personality and television hostess/compere. Career Silvagni was born on 10 March 1970 to Barrie and Fran Bailey and was educated at Tintern Grammar, in the outskirts of Melbourne, and Methodist Ladies' College, Melbourne. Peter Mitchell (newsreader)
Peter Mitchell (born 14 June, 1960) is an Australian television presenter. He has been the chief news presenter for HSV-7 of their flagship bulletin "''Seven News Melbourne"'' since the year 2000, and prior to that, he was the weekend news presenter. Career Mitchell began at the Nine Network in 1977 as a sport reporter. In this position he covered sports such as Australian rules football, golf, tennis and the Commonwealth Games. In 1982, Peter became a general news reporter and in this position he covered many stories including Victoria's horrific Ash Wednesday bushfires in 1983. In 1987, Mitchell joined the Seven Network and became weekend news presenter. He held this position for 13 years until November 2000 when he replaced David Johnston and Anne Fulwood as the solo weeknight presenter.
