Meinolf Finke
Meinolf Finke (born 14 August 1963 in Arnsberg) is a German writer and poet. Life and career Meinolf Finke was born 1963 in Arnsberg (Westphalia). After obtaining the Abitur at ''Gymnasium Laurentianum Arnsberg'', military service and a training as banker he started his studies of business economics at University of Bamberg in 1987, which he completed with the degree of a graduate in business administration. After that he went for local language studies to France an Italy. Since 1993 he has been working in the field of tax accountancy and auditing in the Rhineland. In addition to his professional activities in accountancy, Finke developed his talent in writing, preferably poetry. He first published some of his poems in the anthology of poetry ''Die Jahreszeiten der Liebe''. In March 2014 his first own book of poetry ''Zauberwelten'' in the series ''100 Poems'' was published by Martin Werhand Verlag. Arnsberg
Arnsberg (; wep, Arensperg) is a town in the Hochsauerland county, in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is the location of the Regierungsbezirk Arnsberg administration and one of the three local administration offices of the Hochsauerlandkreis district. Geography Location Arnsberg is located in the north-east of the Sauerland in the Ruhr river valley. The river Ruhr meanders around the south of the old town of Arnsberg. The town is nearly completely encircled by forest, and the nature park ''Arnsberger Wald'' lies to the north". August Von Platen-Hallermünde
Karl August Georg Maximilian Graf von Platen-Hallermünde (24 October 17965 December 1835) was a German poet and dramatist. In German he mostly is called ''Graf'' (Count) Platen. Biography August von Platen was born on 24 October 1796 at Ansbach, the son of the ''Oberforstmeister'' (a senior public servant) of that state, Count Philipp August von Platen-Hallermünde, by second wife Baroness Christiane Eichler von Auriz. Shortly after his birth Ansbach and other Franconian principalities became incorporated with Bavaria. Platen entered the school of cadets (''Kadettenhaus'') in Munich, Bavaria, where he showed early poetic talent. In 1810 as an adolescent he passed into the royal school of pages (''Königliche Pagerie''). In 1814, Platen was appointed lieutenant in the regiment of Bavarian life-guards. The Westphälische Literaturbüro (Westphalian office for literature) in Unna operates the biggest database for literary production in North Rhine-Westphalia, continuously updated since 2001. The database presents authors from NRW with detailed portraits as well as literary institutions and publishers. Sonnet
A sonnet is a poetic form that originated in the poetry composed at the Court of the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II in the Sicilian city of Palermo. The 13th-century poet and notary Giacomo da Lentini is credited with the sonnet's invention, and the Sicilian School of poets who surrounded him then spread the form to the mainland. The earliest sonnets, however, no longer survive in the original Sicilian language, but only after being translated into Tuscan dialect.
