Mehoopany Creek is a tributary of the Susquehanna River in Sullivan and Wyoming counties, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately long. In Sullivan County the creek flows through Colley Township and in Wyoming County it flows through Forkston Township and Mehoopany Township. The stream's watershed has an area of . Its major tributaries include Stony Brook and North Fork Mehoopany Creek. Mehoopany Creek is designated as a high-quality coldwater fishery in Sullivan County. Its headwaters are listed in the Sullivan County Natural Areas Inventory. Course Mehoopany Creek begins in Splashdam Pond in Colley Township, just west of the eastern border of Sullivan County. Mehoopany Township is a township in Wyoming County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 896 at the 2020 census. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 17.9 square miles (46.3 km2), of which 17.2 square miles (44.4 km2) is land and 0.7 square mile (1.8 km2) (3.91%) is water. Demographics As of the census of 2010, there were 892 people, 335 households, and 252 families residing in the township. The population density was 51.9 people per square mile (20/km2). There were 406 housing units at an average density of 23.7/sq mi (9.1/km2).
