Meho Puzić
Meho Puzić (; 24 July 1937 – 25 June 2007) was a Bosnian sevdalinka- folk singer and songwriter. Early life Meho Puzić was born on 24 July 1937 in the town of Odžak, into a Bosniak family. He had two brothers named Adem and Bahrija. The latter was also a professional singer. Meho and Bahrija recorded two songs together, "Pjevaj brate" (''Sing, Brother'') and "Ko čaršijom konja jaše" (''Who is Riding a Horse Down the Bazaar''), and released them on an extended play titled ''Meho i Bahrija Puzić'' in 1974. Career He worked as a bricklayer before becoming a professional singer and releasing his first single in 1966. In 1969, Toma Zdravković wrote a song entitled ''Majko, majko'' (''Mother, Mother'') for him. Puzić sang the song in a duet with his wife Hanka. Death Meho Puzić died, holding his wife Hanka's hand, on 25 June 2007, a month shy of his 70th birthday. Odžak
Odžak ( sr-cyrl, Оџак) is a town and municipality located in Posavina Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is situated in the northern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, near the river Sava, from the border with Croatia. The name is derived from Turkish ''Ocak'', during its time as a frontier town of the Ottoman Empire, and means "fireplace" in Turkish and "chimney" in modern Serbo-Croatian. Sevdalinka
Sevdalinka (), also known as Sevdah music, is a traditional Musical genre, genre of folk music originating from Bosnia and Herzegovina. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sevdalinka is an integral part of the Bosniak culture, but is also spread across the ex-Yugoslavia region, including Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia. The actual composers of many Sevdalinka songs are largely unknown because these are traditional folk songs. Jasmin Muharemović
Jasmin Muharemović (; born 22 February 1965) is a Bosnian pop-folk singer. In 1983 he moved in Požarevac in order to meet Novica Urošević, the folk hit-maker, and start a professional folk singer career. Muharemović's first album sold 250,000 copies, and he had great success as a beginner. In 1994, due to the war in his home country, formerly a part of Yugoslavia, he moved to Vienna. Elvira Rahić (born 1 September 1973) is a Bosnian pop-folk singer. Rahić began her professional music career in 1991 and has since released ten studio albums. She lives in Sarajevo and Vienna. Career Rahić will release her eleventh studio album by May 2015. Personal life Rahić is married to Šaban Forić and together they have a son named Dino. She and her husband are practicing Muslims. The couple lived in Sarajevo before moving to Berlin in 2007 when Forić became employed at the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Berlin. Safet Isović
Safet Isović (; 20 October 1936 – 2 September 2007) was a Bosnian singer who performed the Bosnian traditional music sevdalinka. Early life and family Isović was born into a Bosniak family in Bileća, located in the Herzegovina region of modern-day Bosnia and Herzegovina, while it was a part of Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Safet was one of three children of Ahmet Isović and Ermina; his brother's name was Fehim and his sister was Fehma. Safet's father Ahmet was the son of Zaim Isović, whose first wife, Derviša (née Baraković), died during childbirth on 19 June 1900. Safet became a war refugee at the age of five in 1941 when Yugoslavia was invaded by Nazi Germany. His family escaped to Banja Luka, where he attended elementary school.
