Mehmet Akif Pasha
Mehmet Akif Pasha (1822–1893), also known as Arnavut Mehmet Akif Pasha (''Mehmet Akif Pasha the Albanian'') and Kalkandereli Mehmet Akif Pasha, was an Ottoman-Albanian statesman and governor of the Ottoman Empire. Pasha, Pacha or Paşa ( ota, پاشا; tr, paşa; sq, Pashë; ar, باشا), in older works sometimes anglicized as bashaw, was a higher rank in the Ottoman Empire, Ottoman political and military system, typically granted to governors, generals, dignitary, dignitaries, and others. Tetovo ( mk, Тетово, , sq, Tetovë/Tetova) is a city in the northwestern part of North Macedonia, built on the foothills of Šar Mountain and divided by the Pena River.
