Mehmed Emîn Bozarslan
Mehmed Emîn Bozarslan (born 1935), is a Kurdish writer. He was born in Diyarbakır in south-eastern Turkey. He moved to Sweden as political asylum seeker in 1978, and he has been living in Uppsala Sweden since then. The most famous of his early works was ''Alfabê'' which was the first ABC-Book for Kurdish learning that was published in Turkey in 1968. The books were impounded immediately by a Turkish court. Emin was arrested and jailed under separatism charges. He was released after a while but jailed again in another occasion under military regime from spring 1971 to summer of 1974. He moved to Sweden as political asylum seeker in 1978, and he has been living in Uppsala, Sweden since then. Kurdish People

Diyarbakır
Diyarbakır (; ; ; ) is the largest Kurdish-majority city in Turkey. It is the administrative center of Diyarbakır Province. Situated around a high plateau by the banks of the Tigris river on which stands the historic Diyarbakır Fortress, it is the administrative capital of the Diyarbakır Province of southeastern Turkey. It is the second-largest city in the Southeastern Anatolia Region. As of December 2021, the Metropolitan Province population was 1,791,373 of whom 1,129,218 lived in the built-up (or metro) area made of the 4 urban districts ( Bağlar, Kayapınar, Sur and Yenişehir). Ehmedê Xanî
Ehmedê Xanî ( ku, ئەهمەدێ خانی , Ehmedê Xanî; 1650, Hakkari – 1707, Bayazid), was a Kurdish intellectual, scholar, mystic and poet who is considered the founder of Kurdish nationalism. He was born in the Hakkâri region in 1650 and died in Bayazid in 1707. The most important work of Xanî is ''Mem and Zin'' which is considered the national epic of Kurds. Other important works include ''Nûbiharan Biçûkan'' and ''Eqîdeya Îmanê.'' These works were studied in Kurdish schools from the time of Kani towards the 1930s. Xanî admired Melayê Cizîrî and Feqiyê Teyran. Joyce Blau called him the spiritual son of Cizîrî, Teyran and Ali Hariri. Biography Xanî was born in the village of Khan near Hakkari in 1650.
