Mehdi Mahdavi ( fa, مهدی مهدوی, born 13 February 1984) is an Iranian volleyball player, who former played as a setter for the Iran national team of the year 2007–2016.Mehdi Mahdavi

Karaj

FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship
The FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship, called the FIVB Volleyball Boys' Youth World Championship between 2007 and 2011, is the world championship of volleyball for male players under the age of 19 organized by ''Fédération Internationale de Volleyball'' ( FIVB). The first edition was staged in 1989 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and tournaments have been played every two years since then. The most recent tournament was hosted by Iran in the city of Tehran and won by Poland. Brazil is the most successful nation in the tournament's history, with six titles and one runner-up. The Asian Men's U20 Volleyball Championship is an international volleyball competition in Asia and Oceania contested by the under 20 men's national teams of the members of Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continent governing body. Tournaments have been awarded every two years since 1980. The top two teams qualified for the FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship. Volleyball At The 2016 Summer Olympics – Men's Tournament
The men's tournament in volleyball at the 2016 Summer Olympics was the 14th edition of the event at the Summer Olympics, organised by the world's governing body, the FIVB, in conjunction with the IOC. It was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 7 to 21 August 2016. Brazil won the gold medal after a 3–0 win over Italy. The United States defeated Russia 3–2 to win the bronze medal. Iran Men's National Volleyball Team
The Iran Men's National Volleyball Team is the official national men's volleyball team of Iran. It is governed by the Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (I.R.I.V.F.) and takes part in international volleyball competitions. As of 11 September 2022, Team Melli is considered as the second team in Asia, as it ranks 10th in the FIVB World Rankings. The 7 Asian Volleyball Cup tournaments have been won by four different national teams. Iran have won three times. The other Asian Cup winners are China, with two titles; and both South Korea and Qatar, with one title each. The 2022 Asian Cup was to take place in Taipei, Taiwan but because of its strict COVID-19 protocols, it was reallocated to Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.
