Meghamalhar
''Meghamalhar'' is a 2001 Indian Malayalam-language romance film written and directed by Kamal from a story by Iqbal Kuttippuram. It stars Biju Menon and Samyuktha Varma in the lead roles, while Poornima Mohan, Sreenath, Shivaji, Siddique and Raghavan plays supporting roles. The film was jointly produced by M. V. Shreyams Kumar for Mathrubhumi and Asianet. The film won two Kerala State Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards South. The movie was reported to be inspired by the 1945 British movie ''Brief Encounter''. Plot The film is the story of Rajeevan, an advocate and Nandita Menon, a writer. Kamal (director)
Kamaluddin Mohammed Majeed, mononymously known as Kamal, is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer. He works in Malayalam cinema. He was the former Chairman of Kerala State Chalachitra Academy. Kamal made his directorial debut with the 1986 film ''Mizhineerppoovukal''. In a career spanning over three decades, Kamal has directed over forty films. The Asianet Film Awards is an award ceremony for films presented annually by Asianet, a Malayalam-language television network from the south-Indian state of Kerala. Asianet says that awards ceremony has been instituted to honour both artistic and technical excellence in the Malayalam language film industry. The awards ceremony was co-sponsored by Johnson & Johnson in the year 1998 later Lux took up the sponsorship in the next 5 years. Then Jiva soap in 2004 and then Ujala for many years. Biju Menon (born 9 September 1970) is an Indian actor who predominantly appears in Malayalam films, and also has a few Tamil cinema, Tamil and Telugu cinema, Telugu film credits. Samyuktha Varma (born 26 November 1979) is a former Indian actress who was active in Malayalam films from 1999 to 2002. Ramesh Narayan
Ramesh Narayan (born 3 November 1959) is an Indian classical vocalist, composer and music producer who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. He belongs to the Mewati gharana of Hindustani classical music. Narayan began his initial training in Carnatic music and later mastered the classical Hindustani style under the renowned Pandit Jasraj. Siddique (born 1 October 1962) is an Indian actor and producer, who works mainly in Malayalam cinema. Along with appearing in over 350 Malayalam films, he has also acted in a few Tamil, Telugu and Hindi language films. He is known for having played a wide range of starring and supporting roles, including comic characters, romantic leads, anti-heroes and villains. Shivaji (12 May 1957 - 30 September 2004) was an Indian actor, most popular for his Malayalam films during the 1980s and 1990s. He mainly did villain roles. Background Shivaji was born at Sankaramangalam Pattambi, Palakkad as the fourth child of (both late) Dr. A.K.
