Meenathil Thalikettu
''Meenathil Thalikettu'' () is a 1998 Indian Malayalam-language comedy-drama film directed by Rajan Sankaradi and written by A. K. Sajan and A. K. Santhosh from a story by Lal Jose. It features Dileep, Thilakan, Zeenath and Jagathy Sreekumar in lead roles. The plot follows Omanakkuttan (Dileep), a 23-year-old who is still in high school who has to marry his friend's sister Malu under pressure. The music was composed by Ouseppachan. The film was remade in Kannada as ''Kanasina Loka'' (2004). Plot Omanakkuttan is twenty-three years old and still in high school, a fact which angers his father, Govindan. His life takes a turn when he goes for his friend Sudhi's sister's marriage. Due to certain circumstances, he has to marry Malathi, Sudhi's sister. This angers his father, however he allows them to stay in his home. Rajan Sankaradi
Rajan Sankaradi (6 November 19531 August 2016) was an Indian film director. He started his career as an assistant director under Balachandra Menon. He had directed the films '' Guruji Oru Vakku'' (1985), ''Meenathil Thalikettu'' (1998) and '' Cleopatra'' (2013) with prominent actors like Mohanlal and Dileep playing the leads. He also worked as associate to several prominent Malayalam filmmakers including Sibi Malayil, Joshy, Fazil and K. Madhu. He is not related to late actor Sankaradi. Adoor Bhawani
Adoor Bhavani (1927 – 25 October 2009) was an Indian actress in Malayalam cinema, best known for her appearance in the National Award-winning film ''Chemmeen'' (1965), directed by Ramu Kariat. She had acted in about 450 films, including ''Mudiyanaya Puthran'', ''Thulabharam'', Kallichellamma, and ''Anubhavangal Paalichakal''. Her last film was K. Madhu-directed ''Sethurama Iyer CBI''. She was also a stage actress and was associated with popular theatre group KPAC. Bhavani was born in Adoor in Travancore. Her sister, Adoor Pankajam, was also a Malayalam film actress. Adoor Bhavani died on 25 October 2009. Awards and recognitions In 1969, Bhavani won the Kerala state film award for the second best actress for the film Kallichellamma. Sujatha Mohan (credited as Sujatha) is an Indian playback singer who is popular for singing in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu movies. She has also sung for Kannada, Badaga, Hindi and Marathi movies. Gireesh Puthenchery
Girish Puthenchery (1961–2010) was a noted Malayalam Lyricist, Poet, Scriptwriter and Screenwriter. He was always referred to as the aristocratic lyricist of Malayalam who had a distinctive writing style of his own. He also served as the director of Indian Performance Rights Society Malayalam division (I.P.R.S) and governing council member of the Kerala Kalamandalam and Kerala Lalithakala Academy. He debuted with the movie Enquiry in 1989. He won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Lyricist seven times. Santha Kumari (born Vellaala Subbamma; 17 May 1920 – 16 January 2006) was an Indian musical artist and actress. She was married to the Telugu film director and producer P. Pullayya. Sankaradi
Chandrashekaran Menon, better known by his screen name Sankaradi (14 July 1924 – 8 October 2001), was an Indian actor. He was a veteran Malayalam comedian and character artist, who had over 700 Malayalam films to his credit. He dominated the Malayalam film scene in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s as a comedian along with Adoor Bhasi and Bahadoor. Later, he switched to character roles. Early life Sankaradi passed intermediate from Maharajas College, Ernakulam. Before entering films, Sankaradi briefly dabbled in politics, journalism and theatre. Sukumari Amma (6 October 1940 – 26 March 2013) was an Indian actress best known for her works in Malayalam and Tamil films. In a career spanning more than five decades, She has appeared in more than 2500 films predominantly in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, along with few Hindi and one each in Sinhala, French, Bengali, Tulu, English and Kannada films.
