Medway High School (Arva, Ontario)
Medway High School is a high school in Arva in Middlesex County, Ontario, Canada, approximately one kilometre north of London, Ontario, Canada city limits. History Medway was built in 1949. Its original name was East Middlesex High School, but it was known locally as the Arva School. The name was changed to Medway to reflect the Medway Creek which winds through the area. Medway was part of the Middlesex County Board of Education. Today it is part of the Thames Valley District School Board, which is Ontario's third largest board. Music Program In 1996, Ken Fleet conducted London Pro Musica, the Medway Senior Concert Choir, and the Medway Girls Choir in recording seventy-two songs for Nancy Telfer’s Choral Audio Library. Middlesex Centre is a township in Middlesex County, in southwestern Ontario, Canada, north and west of London. The Corporation of the Township of Middlesex Centre formed on January 1, 1998, with the amalgamation of the former Townships of Delaware, Lobo, and London (not to be confused with the adjacent city of London). It is part of the London census metropolitan area. Middlesex Centre is halfway between two of the five Great Lakes. It is north of Lake Erie, and southeast of Lake Huron. Further to the east of Middlesex Centre is Lake Ontario, while to the west is the much smaller Lake St. Clair. CFIQ (640 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station licensed to Richmond Hill, Ontario, and serving Greater Toronto. The station airs a talk format and is known as ''640 Toronto''. It is owned by Corus Entertainment with radio studios and offices in the Corus Quay Building at 25 Dockside Drive in Toronto. CFIQ is powered at 50,000 watts, the maximum for Canadian AM stations. To protect other stations on 640 AM, it must use a directional antenna. Although it is licensed to a suburban community north of the city, its transmitter is about 60 kilometers (38 miles) south of Toronto. CJCL (590 AM, ''Sportsnet 590 The Fan'') is a Canadian sports radio station in Toronto, Ontario. The Edmonton Elks are a professional Canadian football team based in Edmonton, Alberta. Jacob Ruby (born December 13, 1992) is a Canadian football offensive lineman for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
