Medical Observer
The ''Cincinnati Lancet-Clinic'' was a weekly American medical journal published from 1878 to 1916, as a merger of earlier journals founded in 1842 and 1871. The ''Western Lancet'' was founded as a monthly journal in 1842 with L. M. Lawson as its founding editor; it was one of the earliest medical journals in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1858, it merged with the ''Medical Observer'' (founded 1856), under the title of the ''Cincinnati Lancet and Observer''. In 1873, J. C. Culbertson purchased the journal. Cincinnati ( ) is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Hamilton County. Settled in 1788, the city is located at the northern side of the confluence of the Licking and Ohio rivers, the latter of which marks the state line with Kentucky.
