Measure Of Man
''Measure of Man'' (大男人, 小男人) is a Singaporean Mandarin language drama, telecast on Mediacorp TV Channel 8, 9 pm. It made its debut on 7 August 2006 and ended its run on 8 September 2006. It is exactly the opposite of another show, Beautiful Trio (大女人,小女人), also produced by Mediacorp. While Beautiful Trio examines the problems that Singaporean women face, Measure of Man deals with the problems men face instead, with Huang Wenyong, Ben Yeo and Zhang Yaodong as the lead actors. The 2 shows have the same director and executive producer. This show has a total of 25 episodes and it was the second most watched local drama serial for the year 2006 after ''Love Concierge''. Veteran actor and actress Huang Wenyong and Aileen Tan were seen as potential Star Awards 2006 Best Actor and Best Actress nominees because of their excellent acting that the audience enjoyed. Huang Wenyong
Huang Wenyong (25 July 1952 – 20 April 2013) was a Malaysia-born Singaporean actor and former teacher of Chinese descent. Local media and colleagues referred to him as "Ah Ge" (senior actor) due to his status. Huang died at the Singapore General Hospital at around 5 pm (GMT+8) on 20 April 2013, at the age of 60 due to lymphoma. Early life and career Huang was a teacher in Kuala Lumpur before leaving for Singapore. Huang moved to Singapore in the 1970s, with only fifty dollars in hand. Ben Yeo Chi Lung () is a Singaporean actor and television host. Career A former model, Yeo was first scouted on ''Snap'', SPH MediaWorks Channel U's talent show. Zhang Yaodong (, born Teoh Yeow Tong on 17 December 1977) is a Malaysian actor based in Singapore. Career Zhang entered the entertainment industry after finishing first runner-up in the Malaysian edition of talent-search contest Star Search in 2001. Singaporean Mandarin () is a variety of Mandarin Chinese spoken natively in Singapore. It is one of the four official languages of Singapore along with English, Malay and Tamil. Channel 8 ( zh, 8頻道) is a Singaporean free-to-air television channel, airing in Mandarin Chinese. It was created by Television Singapura on 31 August 1963 with experimental broadcasts, before going official on 23 November that year. The channel's logo is a yellow number 8 on top of a red disc. Beautiful Trio (大女人·小女人) is a Chinese language drama broadcast on Singapore's largest television network, MediaCorp TV Channel 8. The show was filmed in 2003 but broadcast in 2004. It stars Huang Biren , Ivy Lee , Stella Huang & Zhang Yaodong as the casts of the series.
