Mea Motu
Marea Motu (30 December 1989 Kaitaia, New Zealand) is a New Zealand Maori Professional Boxer. Motu is currently ranked 2nd in the IBF in the Junior Featherweight division. She is a four division New Zealand champion, holding more New Zealand titles then any other female boxer. She broke the 14 year record set by Daniella Smith for holding the most titles in February 2022. Amateur boxing Motu discovered boxing at the age of 13. Motu is a five time New Zealand amateur champion, winning two junior titles, and three elite senior titles. During her amateur career, Motu was trained by her mother Aloma Browne and fought alongside her sister Sally Motu, who also won a New Zealand National title. Motu won an World boxing event that was open invertational called the Ringside Bowl World Championship. Kaitaia
Kaitaia ( mi, Kaitāia) is a town in the Far North District of New Zealand, at the base of the Aupouri Peninsula, about 160 km northwest of Whangārei. SkyCity Auckland
Skycity Auckland is an entertainment complex and casino in the central business district of Auckland, New Zealand, between Victoria and Federal Streets. Located at the base of the Sky Tower, it was the second casino in New Zealand, and is the only casino in Auckland. Bowls
Bowls, also known as lawn bowls or lawn bowling, is a sport in which the objective is to roll biased balls so that they stop close to a smaller ball called a "jack" or "kitty". It is played on a bowling green, which may be flat (for "flat-green bowls") or convex or uneven (for "crown green bowls"). Ngāpuhi
Ngāpuhi (or Ngā Puhi) is a Māori iwi associated with the Northland region of New Zealand and centred in the Hokianga, the Bay of Islands, and Whangārei. According to the 2018 New Zealand census, the estimated population of Ngāpuhi is 165,201. This compares to 125,601 in 2001, 102,981 in 2006, and 122,214 in 2013. It is formed from 150 hapū/subtribes, with 55 marae. Despite such diversity, the people of Ngāpuhi maintain their shared history and self-identity.
