Me Llaman Lolita
Me Llaman Lolita was a Colombian telenovela between 1999 and 2000. It was written by Juan Manuel Cáceres and Jorge Elkim Ospina and directed by Luis Alberto Restrepo. This telenovela lasted 198 episodes and internationally it had 99 episodes. Starring Carla Giraldo, Manuela González and Marcelo Cezán. The antagonists were Marcela Gallego and Germán Castelblanco. The series caused some controversy due to its depiction of the romance between Lolita, aged 12 at the start of the series, and Esteban, who is 18 years her senior, which led to the series being censored in Nicaragua and in Guatemala when it was transmitted in those countries. Plot Since the birth of Dolores, Lolita falls in love with Esteban and through her mother expresses this in all possible ways. A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. Cartagena Film Festival
The Cartagena Film Festival ( es, Festival Internacional de Cine de Cartagena de Indias), or FICCI, is a film festival held in Cartagena, Colombia, which focuses mainly on the promotion of Colombian television series, Latin American films and short films. The Cartagena Film Festival, which is held every March, is the oldest film festival in Latin America. The Cartagena Film Festival was founded 1959 by Victor Nieto. Nieto remained the director of the film festival for 48 years, his last being in 2008. Nieto died at the age of 92 in November 2008. Lina Paola Rodriguez was appointed manager by Nieto in 2007 and 2008, and will remain acting director following Nieto's death. Valentina Rendón
Valentina Rendón Escobar is a Colombian actress, singer and writer. Rendón studied industrial design at the Universidad Autónoma de Manizales but, after winning a scholarship offered by RCN TV, went to live to Bogotá to become an actress. She was the lead voice of the pop group Luna verde. Her television debut was in the 1996 series ''Copas amargas''.
