McIntosh High School
McIntosh High School is a comprehensive four-year public secondary school located in Peachtree City, Georgia, United States, in Metro Atlanta. As of 2016, it has an enrollment of 1,684 students in grades nine through twelve. The school, governed by the Fayette County School System, was named a Georgia School of Excellence in 2001. In 2007, it was named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. History McIntosh High School (named after William McIntosh) was opened on January 18, 1981 to serve the growing community of Peachtree City. Before this, all county residents went to Fayette County High School. At the time, the building was still under construction, though deemed sufficient to serve the truncated 2nd Semester of the 1981-1982 school year. John Dwight Smith Jr. (born October 26, 1992) is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Charleston Dirty Birds of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Jeff Sheppard
Jeffrey Kyle Sheppard (born September 29, 1974) is a retired American professional and collegiate basketball player. Born in Marietta, Georgia, Sheppard was Player of the Year in Georgia in 1993 at McIntosh High School in Peachtree City. The 6' 3" (1.90 m) University of Kentucky guard (1993–1998), was named Most Outstanding Player in the NCAA tournament in San Antonio in 1998. He played on two national championship teams at the University of Kentucky under Rick Pitino in 1996 and under Tubby Smith in 1998. The success of his college basketball career did not carry over to the professional level. Gabrielle Lorraine Kessler (; born September 14, 1994) is an American former professional soccer player who last played for Houston Dash of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). Thomas Bennett "Benn" Fraker (born February 23, 1989, in Rome, Georgia) is an American slalom canoeist who competed at the international level from 2004 to 2014. He finished sixth in the C1 event at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Early life Fraker was born in Rome, Georgia, on February 23, 1989.
