John McDuffie
John McDuffie (September 25, 1883 – November 1, 1950) was a United States representative from Alabama and a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama. Education and career Born on September 25, 1883, in River Ridge, Monroe County, Alabama, McDuffie was educated by private tutors. He attended college at Southern University (now Birmingham–Southern College) in Greensboro and later attended Alabama Polytechnic Institute (now Auburn University) in Auburn, Alabama, where he in graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1904. McDuffie received a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1908. He was admitted to the bar the same year. A Democrat, he was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives in 1907 and served until 1911. Mount McDuffie
Mount McDuffie is a mountain summit located west of the crest of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, in Fresno County of central California, United States. This peak is situated in northern Kings Canyon National Park, northwest of The Citadel, and two miles south of Black Giant, which is the nearest higher neighbor. McDuffie ranks as the 93rd highest summit in California, and the second-highest point on Black Divide. The Tydings–McDuffie Act, officially the Philippine Independence Act (), is an Act of Congress that established the process for the Philippines, then an American territory, to become an independent country after a ten-year transition period. McDuffie County, Georgia
McDuffie County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. As of the 2020 census, the population was 21,632. The county seat is Thomson. The county was created on October 18, 1870 and named after the South Carolina governor and senator George McDuffie. McDuffie County is part of the Augusta-Richmond County, GA- SC Metropolitan Statistical Area. History Most communities located in the county were founded before the county was created. Trent McDuffie (born September 13, 2000) is an American football cornerback for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Washington and was drafted by the Chiefs in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. McDuffie then became a starting corner for the Chiefs as the team won Super Bowl LVII in his rookie season.
