Cortona
Cortona (, ) is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Arezzo, in Tuscany, Italy. It is the main cultural and artistic centre of the Val di Chiana after Arezzo. Toponymy Cortona is derived from Latin Cortลna, and from Etruscan ๐๐๐๐๐๐ (curtun). This may be related to Indo-European *ghortos meaning "enclosed place" and consequently walled city like Latin hortus, German Garten, Italian orto, English yard, and Slavic grad. The name may also be linked to the Phrygian town of Gordium in Anatolia, although the founding myth for the latter is that it was named after founder, King Gordias. However, the Etruscan language is probably a pre-Indo-European language, and therefore if it was named by the Etruscans, an Indo-European etymology is uncertain. The Umbrian language, by contrast, is an Italic language, so if it was named by them, a link to Indo-European roots would be more likely. Siena

Giuseppe Mazzuoli (1644โ1725)
Giuseppe Mazzuoli (1644 in Volterra โ 1725 in Rome) was an Italian sculptor working in Rome in the Bernini-derived Baroque style. He produced many highly accomplished sculptures of up to monumental scale but was never a leading figure in the Roman art world. Life Mazzuoli was born in Volterra and trained in Siena but spent his most of his adult working life in Rome. There, he entered the workshop of Ercole Ferrata where he became the only pupil of Melchiorre Cafร who also worked with Ferrata. Like Ferrata, Mazzuoli was frequently drawn on by Gian Lorenzo Bernini to assist with large commissions. He was among the co-workers who cooperated in Bernini's Tomb of Pope Alexander VII (1672โ78). Annibale Mazzuoli
Annibale Mazzuoli (Siena, 1658 โ Rome, 17 December 1743) was an Italian painter. He was born to a pedigree of artists. His father was the architect Dionisio. His brothers include sculptors Giuseppe Mazzuoli and Antonio Giovanni; architect Francesco; and the wood-carver Agostino. The sculptor, Bartolomeo, was his nephew, and the son of Antonio Giovanni. Annibale began his career in Siena, and is described by Luigi Lanzi as a ''fresco painter of rapid execution, but little merit''. Works in or near Siena In the church of San Martino, Annibale frescoed the choir and the ceiling of the dome (1697). An altar of Cathedral hosts a canvas depicting the ''Ecstasy of Saint Jerome'', dated 1671. Parmigianino
Girolamo Francesco Maria Mazzola (11 January 150324 August 1540), also known as Francesco Mazzola or, more commonly, as Parmigianino (, , ; "the little one from Parma"), was an Italian Mannerist painter and printmaker active in Florence, Rome, Bologna, and his native city of Parma. His work is characterized by a "refined sensuality" and often elongation of forms and includes ''Vision of Saint Jerome'' (1527) and the iconic if somewhat anomalous ''Madonna with the Long Neck'' (1534), and he remains the best known artist of the first generation whose whole careers fall into the Mannerist period. His prodigious and individual talent has always been recognised, but his career was disrupted by war, especially the Sack of Rome in 1527, three years after he moved there, and then ended by his death at only 37.
