Mazhar Zaidi
Mazhar Zaidi ( ur, ) is a British Pakistani Communications Specialist, CVE activist, digital content and film producer, artist, journalist, columnist and documentary director. He has produced several issue based documentaries and campaigns. He has developed, managed and delivered large international projects on CVE and produced digital campaigns on rights based issues for leading international non-governmental organisations including UKAid, IRC, CWS, creative Associates and Asia Foundation. He has written extensively on extremist groups in the sub-continent. He is best known for producing the 2013 Pakistani film ''Zinda Bhaag'', which earned him international recognition and accolades and became the country's first entry to Academy Awards after a gap of over 50 years. Dawn News is one of Pakistan's 24-hour Urdu news channel. Based in Karachi, the station is a subsidiary of Pakistan Herald Publications Limited (PHPL), Pakistan's largest English-language media group. The test transmission of the station occurred on 25 May 2007, and the channel went live on 23 July 2007. ''Newsline'' was a Pakistani monthly English language, English current affairs and political magazine owned by Hum Network. It was published from 1989 to 2019 in Karachi, Pakistan. History ''Newsline'' was started in July 1989. Razia Bhatti (1944 – 1996), a Pakistani journalist and former editor of the Herald (Pakistan), Herald, was the founder editor of the magazine.
